"Introduction This post is meant to help people in their knowledge of the paladin class. I will go over the mechanics, talent builds, gear options, and pvp/raid viability of each option. Generally, each option is viable in both aspects of the game. I will go more in depth in the following paragraphs. Please keep in mind I am by no means an expert on the paladin class. I want to share some of the things that took me a fairly large amount of time to learn. I am writing this to try to better peoples understanding of the paladin class. Mechanics Melee: The melee aspect of a pally is, obviously, among the most important parts. To debunk some myths: a paladin’s melee damage mechanics are identical to those of a warrior, with one small exception. He will get the same AP for an equal amount of strength, same dodge for an equal amount of agility, etc. A paladin, however, gets very slightly more crit percent than a warrior per point of agility. In theory, a warrior and a pally in identical gear using only auto attack will do virtually identical damage. This of course does not account for miss and/or crit streaks. The difference in damage comes in when you start to consider special abilities. The seal/judgment system is, for lack of a better description, a melee based spell ability.
world of warcraft power leveling There are 2 main damage seals: Seal of Righteousness (SoR; sor) and Seal of Command (SoC; soc). SoR does holy damage on every swing and soc works on a procs per minute system. SoR cannot crit, soc can.
wow powerleveling The crit percent is based on the paladin’s melee crit rate instead of the spell crit rating. Judgments are basically an instant strike, similar to revenge or overpower.
Instead of doing weapon damage, however, they do holy damage and do not require a melee swing.
wow powerlevel The seal they are based on (Seal of Command for example) is consumed when the judgment is cast, requiring the seal to be re-cast if it is to be used again. Judgments DO also work off melee crit rate for their crit percent. Crusader strike is an actual melee swing.
wow gold It is, in principal, the same as any other instant melee strike. However, it causes weapon damage +holy damage instead of additional white damage. The amount of holy damage is 40% of the paladins total spell damage.
serveur wow The damage from this ability is actually shown in both white and yellow damage and, to the best of my experimentation, one, the other, or both numbers can crit based on melee crit rate. "
